Ordered things other than guitars, and had absolutely no problem.

Another success story for Sweetwater!

Ordered a DR head yesterday morning 10:00 AM, and it arrived early afternoon today 12:30 PM at my house (free shipping). Double boxed, with cover, foot switch, hang tags, manual, plus a Sweetwater catalog, Guitar Collector Magazine, a Music and Musicians magazine, and the usual bag of candy.

I also ordered a guitar, but it hasn't shipped to Sweetwater from Fender yet. It could be a month wait before I can report on the guitar. 8)

Oh, Sweetwater ships via Fed Ex....another plus!

Yes, more than one and their Ordering, Shipping, and Customer Service is Excellent. It is obvious that they intend to win business by providing the best possible Customer Experience. I was using them as an Example of the way Online business should be done and why Brick and Mortar stores dont stand a chance with todays communication, and shipping options. Cost of Retail Store front is just one of the issues. Think about this because it won't be around for long.... right now there is no retail sales tax being charged for out of state business. That provides an average 6% savings to the majority of Sweetwaters customers right off the bat, depending on your state.

Right now it's a 45 minute drive to a store that carries stock in guitars. That place is Guitar Center.. which is apparently having profit issues. Going to be lots of torn down malls, strips, and retail space soon.

Will be interesting to see how ONLINE deals with the need to touch/feel before purchase. Once all the stores are gone, ONLINE can then raise their prices as there won't be any touch/feel competition.

Kinda like Cable TV did. Sorry about the rant, it just happened.

I love Sweetwater. I got my Fender CD60CE Acoustic /Electric through them and it arrived on time with no flaws. Great customer service although I could do without the candy that they always send seeing that I'm diabetic. LOL.
