Cool vid about the new Strats... I liked the tone from that Rosewood neck strat.... good cut.... the Sandblasted Bule one sounded exceptional as well... the hardtail had a good tone but lacked bottom end... the Shawbucker was decent... nice features with passing lane and S1 switching.

Interesting demo. I really liked the sound of the p'ups on the '70's- style Hardtail. Likewise, I was surprised by the "Shawbucker" on the Deluxe. I've never been a fan of the HSS configuration, but the normal setting was a very pleasant surprise! Then when the S1 switching kicked in, I remembered why I never cared for that tone control system. However, the "Passing Lane" setting really surprised me, and I wouldn't mind doing some exploring down that alley...

Super cool demo. I agree that rosewood neck is the pick of the litter!

Yep I have been itching for a strat with a rosewood neck for some time.
Anyone who has one care to comment?
About the neck rather than the itch.. i know there are some humorous wiseguys here! :D

Maybe a minority here, I'm really diggin' the hard-tail strat with the maple neck.
Don't know what it is, probably a placebo in my brain, but I can just "read" maple better when I'm watching my fretting.
I like it's all over sound.
And it looks... well,... sweet!
Haven't GASsed for anything in a few years, this is it.

You're not alone, blackstratacat! I've been trying to lay my hands on that elusive hardtail for a while and was hoping that it would find its way back into the regular production line.

With the exception of the video in this thread, I haven't found anything on the Fender website about this model yet I can almost swear that info was there a few days ago. ??? Maybe I'm just seeing things.

Anyone played one of these babies yet?

Cheers!
