Hey guys! So I just recently bought a used mexican strat on guitar centers website. I found it online and called the store and asked the condition of it and the guy said it wasnt bad, just a small ding on the front no biggie. The guitar is a 60s reissue strat with the reverse headstock, sweet guitar. Its obviously a tribute to hendrix. Ive wanted one for so long but they were a limited run in 2007 and just so happen to run across this one. It was 400 bucks so I said sure. So I got it in the mail yesterday got it out and looked at it looks good id say about a 7/10 condition wise. But a couple of problems so thats why Im here, if anyone can help me that would be awesome so problem number 1, just above the neck plate where the body meets the neck theyre are some hair line cracks and a chip out of the paint, is this something I should worry about? Is this only a cosmetic thing? doesnt seem to hurt to play it. anyway to fix this? second question, the guitar was missing a volume knob, so I quickly ordered a new set of fender vintage knobs that match perfect, as i was putting on the new volume knob i noticed the actual volume pole was loose, i can wiggle it around a little and when the guitar is plugged inif i move it around it causes some static. So what ive read is you can tighten the pole somehow? anyone know what to do? anyone had this problem and know how to fix this? hope this makes sense! I would provide pictures but im new to the forum and i cant figure out how to post them from my phone. But hopefully you guys can help me still! thanks guys!

The cracks by the neck plate sound like typical finish cracks... no prob with that... fix it?... Personally speaking, I would leave them be... just adds to the "Mojo-Factor" 8)

For the loose volume pot... If it's the shaft itself that's loose... then you're looking a replacing the entire pot... However, if it's the entire pot... just tighten the nut down a bit... get it snug and you're good to go.
