Hi, I have an fender squire mini strat I kick around to jam with. I was wondering if possible to have the neck be installed on a normal sized body without any issues? IMO I love playing on this neck as possibly the best I have ever played on but the body is so small I have to always be wearing a strap and forget having it stay comfortably on my legs. Any input would be much appreciated. Also, if it cannot be done are there any strats (excluding the impossible to find 90's japan models) that have the shorter scale neck?? Thanks in advance!

1. You'd have to check that the neck joint fits.
2. Then you'd have to check that the bridge is in the right place for the nominal scale length (22.75").
3. And the pickups placement in relation to the new scale might alter the sound.
Haven't done it myself. I'd say be prepared to a "more-than-minor" adjustment job - unless you get a better answer from that someone somewhere who sometimes really did that.

But to be honest, IMHO the following options make a lot more sense:
- You can get a conversion neck (24.75" scale) from e.g. Warmoth - it fits "any" Stratocaster.
- Or you can check out the Modern Player Short Scale Stratocaster (24" scale).
- Or get another model of short scale Fenders/Squiers; Jaguar & Mustang (24" scale) are still in production.

Thanks for the help. I did a search on eBay and found more options just by searching for short scale fender strat vs just mini fender strat, so thank you. I also own an american strat and a tele but I do like the mini better just for the neck and if it weren't for the body it would be my perfect guitar. I'm cursed with smaller hands and as a player and I hope others can attest it isn't my neurosis but Im constantly looking for that perfect strat :) It's an obsessive quest to find it.

Just play a full 34" scale bass for a couple of months, a normal Strat/Tele etc. will feel just right after that.
And PS: there are a lot of bass players with small hands...
