I had an issue with a neck so I ordered a Replacement. Just another American Standard neck. While I was at it I put in some Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas Hot pickups. I love these pickups they have the vintage sound I was after Hendrix Blackmore etc.

Looking forward to trying it on the Marshall at practice Saturday.

Your guitar is an older American Series, not Standard. It doesn't have the vintage-style 2-point bridge Fender uses since 2008.

Those SD Antiquity Hots ooze the vintage Strat sound you're craving for with some extra attitude under the hood. Since you switched from humbuckers to single coils I strongly recommend making a comparison between them and the CS Fat 50s.

One of the videos you've had posted shows those babies how they sound in crunch/distortion mode, I guess... :)

Well, why not putting another SD Antiquity pickup in the middle position to match the neck & bridge pickups?

Yes the first video is clean the second dirty I built this tremolo its a deluxe with a pop in but I boiled a tip and pushed it on. But It was originally a 05 American Series yep :)

Actually it depends on when it was made, remember the American Series didn't start until 2000, and the American Standards/Series had the bridge with the block saddles from 1987-2008. So if its from 1987-1999 its a standard. 2000-2008 its a series, 2008 and beyond with bent steel saddles its a standard again.
