I'm not sure exactly which model it is but it's mint(body and neck) and was purchased around 87-88...maybe 89. Its not a deluxe model but it says on the headstock made in usa. The tuners and the trem seem like they are a modern style...definately not a vintage reissue. It's black with 3 single coils. What's a strat like this going for these days?....I don't have the sn# but I will be picking it up later on tonight.

sure...I'll be picking it up tonight, sorry to be so vague with the description but I don't have much to go on....I'm only paying $300 for it and that includes case....I'm guessing it's a good deal especially for an older model.... will post more later on.

Holly Smokes!!!!! That's about s wild as I can get without being $$%^#"d
That's a great deal!!! I thought I was getting a great deal on my mint used hardtail at $799. I guess that's about market though. But if the neck has no twist and a tech can set it up as a mint instrument it's worth at least $750 on craigslist. Also if this is not a good friend that is selling you this be careful!!!! It's just that good of a deal. Peace. J.J.B.

here are those pics as promised...thanks to all for your input in finding info on this great guitar. It's definately a great find...although it's not mint as assumed earlier(little dimples and dents here and there but nothing that breaks the paint) checked the sn and guess it's a 1988 Fender American Standard Strat.

Wow! Even if it was a Chinese fake (which I'm sure it ain't) that still isn't a bad price, looking at the pix.

You skinned that guy alive. How do you feel about that? :?

Cheers

Based on that serial I get:

Your guitar was made at the
Fullerton or Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): 1984 - 1988

Now I want to see the pics but dammit I cant from work. Great find.

^^ thanks. he's just a guy that used to play guitar that had some equipment that was just collecting dust...so I took most of it off of his hands. Not including the Fender...I scored a Marshall 1960A cab(also from the 80's) 1986 ESP Mirage(Jackson Lawsuit) headstock model...an original Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer.

Woah! Ya gotta share the prices you paid for those items too! We want to hurt ourselves laughing - or crying.

Does this guy have a nice Ferrari he wants to sell, by any chance?
