OK, here she is. Certainly from a "list price" standpoint, the nicest Strat I've owned.

Spaghetti logo, maple board, two-color burst, and vintage tuners indicates it's the "Fender Classic Player '50s Stratocaster." Though advertised on craigslist as simply a "Mexican Strat." And priced accordingly!

Of course, the Classic Player '50's model in fact "streets" for 60% _more_ than a more typical Mexi-made Fender Standard Strat. So this was a crazy good deal I could not pass up, despite that my Squier Strat Deluxe has been doing the job quite nicely for the last year or so. I'll be listing the Squier for sale presently, after I check to see what Strat Deluxes are going for.

This Classic Player '50's Strat was so cheap I'll probably recoup most of the purchase price when the Squier sells. (I love Gainesville!) Still need to choose a name. "Brownie" is most obvious, but that's already taken by my Mexi-made Telecaster Special.

Nice Strat!

Six screw bridge means "Classic Series '50s", not the "Player" which has a two screw bridge.

New guitar day, or new gear day.

These Classic 50's Series (and the 60s too) are some great guitars! The only thing I changed on my 60's Classic was the pickups, but that was just for a different tone, the originals were fine.

Congrats and play it like you stole it as it sounds like you did!

You're right, I didn't know there were two "Classic... 50's Strats."

Here's a better pic:
