I've got a 2005 American Deluxe Fat Strat, and I ADORE it. The only thing that bugs me is the whole tremolo system,so I was wondering if they make a bigsby for strats.

If it was a fixed bridge Strat, you could... but not (or not as easily) with a trem.

lol. they are interesting, but yes you can do it... if you really want to!

Your gonna have to fill in that bridge cavity though first.... The easiest way to do that is to cut out the bridge cav so that it's a basic shape ( rectangle) and take a block of wood the same size (as the hole) and put it in... then re finish your guitar, re-drill all your holes, install a hard tail tune-o-matic and drill the 2 big holes for the bigsby!

phew lots of work :)

p!

But why would you want a Bigsby rather than one of the vintage or modern vibratos available for a Strat, anyway?

Weird...

Yeah, you could do it. You could get a custom-made body, without any tremolo routing or strings-through-the-body holes. You'd probably need a custom pickguard too depending on the type of bridge you wanted to use.

Then you might as well go non-standard for pickups too, like two P-90s or something.

This actually looks cool :D But it's a hell of a mod to do. Too much work in my opinion.

If he starts out with a Squier Hello Kitty Strat, at least it wouldn't cost that much!
