1978 Hardtail Strat - changed pickguard to black, Schaller tuners. The rest is original. I haven't played this for 30 years. It has a lot of finish crazing on the body - probably from trucking this around on the road in the back of a bus in winter and summer in the 80's. Frets are good - doesn't need a dressing yet. I swear it was white when I bought it.

Naw - just took it out of the case to check the strings weren't corroded. Back it goes in the case until my estate sale lol.

I bet it would sound good through one of my Marshalls. I like the fact that it turned yellowish. Hardtail Strats are the goods!

Yes - I still have a JCM900 4100 which I played it through years ago. I played it for a few minutes when I took the pics and found the bridge pickup was very bright. Middle was good but the tone knob has to be turned down to get some thickness. Neck was ok as well. Low E string needs to be adjusted as it's buzzing a little.
I have retired this and replaced it with my EC.

Could you post some photos of the belly contour and the top edge of the where the right arm rests?
