After a long hiatus, I'm just getting re-acquainted with an American Deluxe HSS Strat
I bought in 2006.

One thing that's standing out to me is how hot the DH-1 pickup is compared to a few of the other guitars
I have lying around.

Anyone familiar with DiMarzio's website? I guess I'm wondering how the DH-1 pup would be classed (output, tone) if thrown into the list of pups on that site.

Note: I'm not looking to replace the DH-1 in the strat, but I am looking for a comparable pickup to throw into one of my other guitars.

Did you consider getting a genuine DH-1 for the other guitar?
These guys claim to have those in stock: darrenriley item DH1
And then there is of course ebay etc. for preowned ones.

And the disclaimer: even the same pickup moved to another guitar may not result in the same sound universe...

PAF Pro Custom.

Fender used this humbucking pickup on the MIJ HRR series and certain US-made Strats equipped with original Floyd Rose bridges until they switched to their own DH-1 humbuckers in January 1998.

Of course the PAF Pro Custom is not manufactured anymore either... you have the Dimarzio PAF Pro in the mid-power DiMarzio humbucker range and the PAF 36th Anniversary in the vintage power range available now.

The DH-1 is low output. Its about 8k. Its a PAF. The Atomic is more like a JB copy The Enforcer is a Super Distortion copy. The new ones I stopped even investigating because I just stopped using Humbuckers in strats. I been using the Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas Hots and have been real happy.
