Ive got an all stock American std strat from 2010 (3-tone, rosewood) and i have the oppurtunity to buy a set of big dippers. Is a strat really that much better with them in there for clean blues, or will the difference not be worth the price?

worth it for the strat or not?

JM Strats are no longer into production, John has recently quit the Fender camp. Fender never sold the Big Dippers as a separate accessory AFAIK.

Depends on the price......and your taste. What's the price?

As you mentioned ; it is not easy to find Big dippers for sale seperately ,rarely seen them for sale on ebay..
I played Mayer Strat with Big dippers...To my ears, they sound perfect, but ''Tone'' is very subjective and you need to give it a try..If not; it is a gamble :)But worth tryin' :) Roll the Dice ....
