I agree with everyone here. I wouldn't even consider that a "partscaster". There is not one thing normal on there for Fender or Squire (aside from the pick guard)....or a combination of the two. "Freakcaster" would be more suitable.

$184.19 (US) to $245.58 (US) is the conversion on the asking price....you can get a Squire Vintage Modified Strat and/or Squire Standard Strat brand spanking new for under $250.00 (US)---and know exactly what you got.

Yep; you are wise to have walked away.

Wow, that guitar really gets a beating here...

On the neck & body: around 2000, Squier Standard Strats came with 22 frets - Indonesian, usually made bu Cort. They were definitely above Affinity/Bullet level of the era.
It ain't a Fender, but nothing in the neck or body is saying "Not Squier" to me.

On the vol pot spot & missing switch: yea, now I also think it's only with one pickup. Someone modded this babe hard and not at all in a nice polite way.

On the price: well, in Europe a new Standard Strat is 269€ (330$, Thomann price)... but you do not not get it in Aztec Gold.

I still say it's worth considering - after some hard bargaining, and with a reserve amount of cash for a new pickguard, pickups +embellishments) & possibly the bridge... But that's of course just my opinion.
