Sorry, Here's a better pic. I haven't been on this forum or flickr for a long time. Looks like they changed everything.

Nice family portrait :P

Three HRR50s and an HRR60s, these guitars are huge metal monsters.

A Sambora Strat with the huge star inlays would be a killer addition, IMO!

That's OK, I like the one on the left (black one) best anyway.

Nice collection! 8)

Hey great collection there Axeman. I like the trans cherry :)

Reminded me of a Strat I was asked to mod a guard to fit....something I haven't seen before with a Fender branded Floyd and Scalloped fingerboard.
So would this also be one of the HRR models?

No. The Fender Stratocaster HRR (Hot Rod Reissue) stratocaster was manufactured with an Original Floyd Rose (Made in Germany). Although, there are some that were manufactured with a Kahler Steeler from the first few years.

The Strat in you photos, i believe, was a "Contemporary" Stratocaster. That series was manufactured before the HRR models were made.

Hey thanks for info. Interesting, nearly 30 yrs old. So I searched out Contemporary Strat.

Seems the pic I posted was a '85-'87 MIJ
'Fender' System 1 bridge tremolo made in Germany.
Micro tilt on neck.
Some with Dimarzio Humbucker in bridge.
But I think the fretboard scallops must me an owner mod. None came with any scalloping from what I found.
