Yes I know this has been covered before so I am sorry for bringing this up again.
A few months ago I bought an American Strat body and put together a complete guitar using mostly USA spec parts with the biggest exception being the pickguard which is from a Squier.
So my question is who makes a pickguard where the pups will line up with the strings, mostly the middle and definitely the bridge? Yes it has the common problem of the pups being too far to the treble side.
And it does have a USA spec term unit and an American-made neck with everything lined up correctly.
Thanks for the help

Pretty sure you can get the proper spec pickgaurd directly from Fender http://www.fender.com/search-results/?q=pick+gaurd 8)

Hi wahyeh,

Usually, if the strings are off to one side, you need to align the neck, which will center the strings properly over the pup pole pieces. Check to see if the strings are aligned to the neck, using the fret dots and eges of the neck as guides.

If I remember correctly the screw holes on a Squier pickguard do not line up properly on a Am Fender. I would start with a correct pickguard first, then you can fine tune the neck.

I have purchased two pick-guards from these folks on separate occasions and both times they were an absolutely perfect fit in every respect. The selection of colours and materials is quite extensive.

I've also bought three guards from Warmoth with the same excellent results.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
