So, i have two questions about it.

1) When i replace my strings on my strat, which are currently 9's, with 10's will i need to adjust the spring tension?

2) Is it possible to snap the trem? Not the trem arm, but the actual plate.

I know this is a bit of a weird question, but i just wondered.

Thanks.

Yeah, I mean if you were to divebomb it, is it possible to snap the trem?

You'd have to be pretty heavy handed to do it, but yes, it's a possibility that you could snap the bar off where it exits the top of the bridge plate.
Ritchie Blackmore used to use custom made heavier duty arms because he was so gentle in his use of the bar

The screw in arm is more likely to suffer this fate than the push in type, so it depends on which model you have.

You can def snap the trem's arm... but you would really need to go postal to snap the plate... those are serious tough...
