I have a Squire II made in Korea probably in 1989 or so that i bought new back then. it plays like a dream, who ever set it up was a magician. I replaced the neck pickup with a silver trace sensor and the middle with a red. The bridge came with a humbucker in it. Thats kinda what i want to know, i have never ever seen another like mine, yes I've seen many with the humbucker, lol, but mine has NO pickgaurd, the cord plugs in like a Les Paul, not a strat, and the knobs are in slightly different positions than a normal strat. To me , in my mind, its a one off. Maybe someone here knows something about this guitar, maybe you have seen others like it or maybe it really is a one off. the serial number is E 969164. Its solid black with aluminum knobs a maple neck and fret board. Any help?

Here's another, in white: reverb.com 1989 Strat HSS

Yours has probably had that jack plate modded/upgraded/just replaced. [Edit: scratch that, if you bought it new. Then the jack plate may be the one-off feature.]
Oh, BTW: the truss rod plug at the headstock is often important when trying to define a Strat model. So is the back side of the guitar

the jack plate is a replacement for the original which was just a plain ole jack, but in the same original spot...

so I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen one of these before....I have never seen another one ever...especially the way the knobs are configured and the plug as well...would this make this worth more because its unusual? Anyone have any insight on this?
