Post subject: Loaded pickguard install question.

Just purchased a fender deluxe HSS Texas special S-1 loaded pickguard and upon installation Iam finding 4 ground wires 1 goes to the jack 1 goes to body ground and 1 to the tremolo, were would number 4 go ?

Hi Crs40404,

All grounds should connect to the back of one of the pots, including the pup negatives unless using an unusual wiring scheme. If this extra wire is connected to the back of a pot, and the hum-bucker pup already has a ground connected, it is not needed.
