Hello everyone, are any of you fender experts out there able to help me identify this second hand guitar I clumsily bought on ebay without doing any checks first. (it was cheap(£200) and had a lot of watchers so I thought I'd just go for it) but now looking at the pictures that were given for the listing i'm not so sure.. I don't know much about stratocasters (or guitars in general) so would very much appreciate any help that could be given, I would like to know the model and where the guitar was made (if at all possible with no visable serial number) I haven't yet received the guitar so I cant go by anything than more than these images; http://postimg.org/gallery/mndnubtq/0f1e9d95/
Thanks a lot!

That is NOT a Fender Stratocaster. Someone has erroneously put a Fender headstock decal on it in hopes of ripping someone off. Cancel the transaction asap!

Here's a chance to prove the eBay naysayers wrong. If the seller misrepresented the product, you are entitled to return it for a full refund as eBay states in their buyer protection policy. It doesn't matter if the seller claims ignorance, the guitar is still a fake. Even if it were advertised as a fake, copy or replica, it is still against eBay policy.

Return it and demand a refund!

Where are the photos of the Strat?
Are they hidden behind the PoS you've bought for £200?

A fool and his money are easy to part...

I can see how that authentic headstock shape fooled you.

I notice that the OP hasn't progressed beyond a first post.
Ever get the feeling that somebody is having a laugh at your expense?

I just checked and the OP hasn't logged in since making their first post.
Definitely having a laugh!

That's a rare guitar. You don't see those straight slot screws on the pickguard very often. Nice touch!

Okay before everyone is ready to lynch the guy he did state he knows very little about guitars. It is obvious the guitar is a fake but ripping the guy up and making him feel like a jerk so fast may of just not made him log back on and cancel his order. Unless someones life is so boring that he has nothing to do but post a guitar that he claimed he bought for $300 on a board where there are tons of experts who will pin it out in a second I don't understand what his motive would be. It wasn't like he posted a pre CBS 62 that he stated he spent 5 figures on.Believe me I have seen over 20 times, guys on Ebay spend over a grand on the lowest end model of a legit guitar (Peavey Wolfgang EXP) that was the inferior Korean built model the last two years of the run and about $500 new. Meanwhile a smoking mint US built Special Deluxe would be right next to it for a grand! Those used to be listed in stores for $1,649 when they came out,but by not doing their homework or knowing the guitar, they got sucked in by a paper thin quilt veneer.
