It is this time of the year again when I have to change the color of one of my Strats. It's a MIM that started its life as a Candy apple red, went on to a metallic green very similar to EC's 80's pewter. It's already stripped, and I want an elegant color, I've thought of black, but too plain for me, I already have a Mercedes Blue one and a Torino red, and am open to any suggestions?

Cheers

Just a thought: go with the black, but add sparkle.

How about some nice Chameleon automotive paint? Then you could just tilt it to change the color.

It's pretty expensive, but you wouldn't need much.

Goodonya ...Mark.

You didn't say if your FB is rosewood or maple. I think that would make a difference in color selection. One of my favorite Strat colors has always been Ice Blue Metallic, maple fb, white pups and pg.

I'm going to suggest Montego Blue. One of my cars is this colour, and I've thought it would look great on a guitar. It is basically a candy navy blue, but when light strikes it, it appears to be green.

It has a maple one piece neck, and a one ply white pickguard, that Montego Blue is classy indeed, thanks for the suggestions
