Greetings all,
I saw Iron Maiden this past Sunday at the Garden and first of let me say what an incredible performance they put on! Probably the best Maiden show I've seen to date. Now my question to you Strat users is what set up does Murray & Janick use in their Strats? I noticed that they have SSS setup in their strats, but I am still blown away by the fact that they were able to produce ear bleeding riffs and leads with this setup.

That Iron Maidon Strat has the same bridge pickup I have on my custom 93 American Standard Sunburst Strat.
It is not a single coil pickup. It is a Seymour Duncan JB jr which is actually a "High output single-coil-size "rails" humbucker. Great for everything from heavy blues to heavy metal." In fact there are no single coil pickups on that guitar at all. :)

I bought that 93 strat new & the first thing I did was put the JB jr in the bridge, so I have played with the JBjr humbucker for years. It is a great pickup imho.
