I'm looking at an egnater rebel 20 head and 1-12 cabinet. It's used the guy said he'd sell it for $400 says it works perfectly. I've never played an egnater before. I "try" to play blues/funk/classic rock. What do you guys think of the rebel 20? Thanks

I have one. I use two of the 112 cabs to make a little mini-stack.
I think it's a great little amp for the money.
There are a number of folks on here who have them and like them.
Some people have had reliability issues with theirs.
63Supro may have more info on which ones were affected.
Mine has never given me a moment's trouble.

Thanks! I've heard them on YouTube. It's always hard to tell on yt. I'll bring my strat tomorrow and play it. I'm interested in the tube blending. El84 and 6v6 seems interesting.

I like to run my blend dial so it's pretty close to the middle, blending the tube sets almost 50/50. If anything I think I lean just a hair to the 6V6 side.

I have a Renegade, the 65w big brother to the Rebel. It's exactly the sound I was looking for from an amp and it has all of the features that I wanted. My only problem so far was I burned out the EL34 tubes after very little play time. No more problems since changing them. Hopefully it was just a fluke. At this time I would highly recommend the amp.
Oh, and so far I can barely hear the difference with the tube blend switch and I don't mess with it anymore. The mini toggles that my amp has for tight/deep, bright/normal, are very helpful and I use them a lot.
