Pro guitar shop put on a pretty decent demo of the mojotone two face strat pickups. Anybody have any experience with them? I'm thinking about replacing my Texas specials with them.

If you want to take take the plunge go for it. The tone sounds good if that tone is what you want and you don't hit the strings very hard. For that demo tone you need a Bassman or a Marshal like Amp and an OD pedal.

I did not like the tone he got on the bridge pickup when he kicked it up a bit at the end of the demo. He got a really harsh tone from the pickup. IMO your better off with the Texas Specials.

I intend to buy a set. Once I've gone at least a month without buying guitar related gear.

That's an interesting pickup magnet idea. I'm not sure I can hear any tonal difference between the bass and treble strings.
