Gentlemen
I am in the process of purchasing a used Fender Stratocaster.
I have purchased several guitars from this guy in the past always a good deal and always 100% original minus pups being changed out.

This one in particular is a beautiful body with a flame maple top and he mentioned that the body and neck did not come together....hmm.
I know if he has two similar strats and one has a rosewood fret board and the other a maple he will swap them if he thinks they look better the other way.

inside the route cavity there is a sticker with the following on it:
0091791-737
BODY F SELECT STRAT ALD LACO ATB PMT

Neck pocket has the following:
Jan 02 2012
#91791
David

Serial number on the neck proves to be a 2005 American Deluxe Strat neck
comes with:locking tuners, roller nut, ebony fingerboard, & abalone dots

if anyone can help let me know
I have a few more days before I have to give up the $$
Thanks
KD5QLD

Photos?
Of everything!!!

Otherwise you might as well just email customer support - they'll be able to confirm what numbers indicate what.
That doesn't mean that they'll be the genuine article - it'll just be what the records say (if there are records).

BTW - the guitars the seller has are partscasters by the sound of it.
Whatever resale a guitar has on the used market does not apply unless there's provenance (ie. THE Blackie or similar).
It's just an assemblage of parts.

Open a free photobucket account, upload the pictures to it, and copy and paste the image location files to the forum.

That looks like a Strat Ultra body and neck to me at first glance.
Have you got any autopsy pictures?
A couple of shots are not really enough.

We need headstock front and rear.
In truth we need everything front and rear, and that includes the pickguard.

plays incredibly well sounds great and looks killer
I was just needing to know if I could get my money back out of it if I decided to move onto something else.

btw
pups are
Tom Anderson humbucker in bridge
Dimarzio Area 58 in middle
Fender scn in neck

Well I do not know what you are paying for it but the sum of the parts may be worth more resale than the whole.
I have seen the older select model occasionally go for around $1500 used so this would be worth no more than around a grand IMHO and with the older neck no compound radius
Not trying to put you off but you could get a nice mahogany select for around this price... :D

really appreciate the advise and info
half a grand is what he needs for it

I have a 2010 am deluxe all original except for pick guard and pups
that I'm thinking of parting with for this one

Yeah for that price pretty reasonable depending on what you sell the deluxe for.
Good luck! :D
