Hi everyone. I own some Anniversary Model Strats and I am writing an e-book on USA made Anniversary Strats (1979 to date). I would be very interested to hear from anyone who owns any of the MIA Fender anniversary Strat models. Perhaps I could include some of your photos and any interesting stories connected with your guitars in the book. Anyway I own a few including a 1994 40th Anniversary Strat (1 of 1954), a 2004 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Strat and a 2014 60th Anniversary American Vintage 1954 Strat. Photos of some of them are on my hobby website at http://www.garysguitars.co.uk/gallery.htm. Which models do you own or have you owned in the past? :)

I owned a 2004 50th Anniversary American Series Strat. It's one of the best sounding Strats I've ever owned. I'm writing this on the fly, so it's very much stream of thoughts put to paper so to speak.

It had the one of the most beautiful 2-color-sunburst bodies I had ever seen. The hand rolled neck edge was very comfortable and had a broken in feel that a lot players love.

The plush gold lined case made the wood grain and finish pop.

This guitar was one of the few guitars that really gave me that 70s Clapton sound I always loved.

Two things that stood that I didn't like. 1. The finish on the neck where the 7th fret marker was separated from the marker itself. 2. The partchment pickguard turned an ungle caramel color that I didn't like. At some point, I changed out the pickguard for a mother of pearl guard.

The CS '54 pickups were awesome.

Sadly, I had to part with the guitar to purchase a '75 Strat that I fell in love with one day.

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.
