Good for all.
I've been looking for a Fender Plus for some time and recently I found one in my city. The condition of the guitar is pristine. According to Fender specifications, and purchase card, Torino Red is the color.

Image

I wonder what would be a good price to pay considering that the guitar is perfect, as outlet store, has all papers, and sounds great.

Another issue that worries me is if the back of the guitar looks perfectly see a line, which I guess is the union of two pieces, but it is normal to see so clear?

Image

Also at the junction between the body and neck at a party, it seems as if there were no current separation, but does not seem worried.

I have to say that the seller is a nice person who does not like Fender and sells it to buy another guitar. The starting price has been lowered enough.
Sorry for my English.
Some photos so they can help me.
A greeting and thanks.

That seems like a nice guitar from the photos and your description.

It's always best to try before you buy.

It's impossible to guess at a reasonable price...that one is from 1993 or earlier and was a top end model Strat at the time...the color may not be rare but it's eye catching...

...see xhefriguitars.com for the best available Strat Plus information...

If you like it and can afford it to play, by all means do so.

What good would all those who have this type of instruments stored in an attic, get them out to those who love music, specifically the guitar, could enjoy .........

I would be grateful if someone added a comment about the specifications of the guitar or some curious looking at the pictures.

To make the decision to buy was very helpful comments on the forums.

There's even a photo that looks something commented on the type of construction of Fender in those years, is at the rear, the white powder in the cavity after polishing the guitar is not cleaned, curious .......

Image

By the way, I have to say my Fender Tex-Mex 1996 Pre-Jimmie Vaughan, although comparisons are odious, also sounds great, with a very comfortable neck .......

Greetings to all !!

I owned an '87 Strat Plus, and they were wonderful guitars. I currently own an Eric Clapton Strat with gold Lace Sensors in Candy Green.

Very nice guitar...the Strat Plus was the high end of the production line at the time...

...I've owned two and thought highly of them...

...you're very fortunate to find one in such good condition... :D

...the powder you see in the Trem Cavity is from the Fender factory buffing your guitar to a high polish...very common find...

...if you were to remove the pickguard you'd likely find more of the same...

...that's a good thing...a sign of authenticity that unscrupulous re-finishers rarely think of...

...nice to have the Tremsetter back in the Trem Cavity as well...

...altogether a nice purchase...Enjoy

I've noticed a lot of the Strats from the '80s and '90s have contours which are little less rounded. Strat contours can vary greatly during the early days and CBS '70s.

Is the Tremolo block right on that one? Looks like one of the smaller MIM blocks on that tremsetter setup or is it just me or the photo angle.

Yep... that's what it looks like to me too... Shouldn't that be a full size block :o

Just curious, after removing the neck, I have noticed that the date appearing on the body and the neck is 1989, and a signature H. Gastelum (anyone really know if that was a person of quality control or if the firm means more ......??). After hydrating the fretboard, and adjust and lubricate the nut, bridge (saddles) and tremolo, with Hipshot tremsetter, the guitar sounds great ...........in perfect tune always....

Anyone know if Fender Plus came with full sustain block ??? Mine come with one tapered ..... is a big difference between the two ??

Leave a picture .........

Thanks to all, Greetings !!!

The tremolo block looks perfectly normal to me!
The taper gives greater range in downward movement.

These all came stock with the tapered block. The 87s sometimes had unpainted blocks that were just silver steel. Then they started painting them silver/grey except the DX bridges with the tapered flat black finish and pop-in trem bar:

I have one just like this. Very bright Ferrari type red color. I love these guitars.
