Ok so I have this MIJ 1954 reissue strat and would like to know a little more about it like exact year it was made, what kind of wood and finish does it have and the overall value or resale of these guitars are. Thanks in advance.

First check the serial number of the guitar on this link:
Japanese Instruments Product Dating
You'll get the approximate build year, and the forum can go better on from there.

So according to Fender's dater the serial number is A, B or C + 6 digits..?

Well, the guitar looks as it should.
My guess is basswood body - the bare wood in the neck cavity seems relatively blonde, and has no strong grain pattern. Alder should have distinctive grain, and be darker - sorta pinkish.
The finish is polyester, if it's original.

The mid-eighties MIJ's are regarded to be fine instruments. The wood, woodworking and the overall build/finish quality in general (for instance the fretboard edges and fret ends) are high, and these usually play very nicely.
The electronics/hardware side sometimes needs upgrading - e.g. you could check the pickup bottoms: if there is a bar, they're ceramic.

The market value of these guitars doesn't follow the quality. These move for $350-$500, which IMHO is really cheap.
