Yes I believe that is a Schaller trem system, lucky! I would love an Ibanez trem system or locking bridge system like that on my strat. But would cost too much money and damage to install one myself

it is a Kahler 2720C Spyder on it. It has Kahler and Spyder written on the tremolo. The locknut is a Kahler 5511C locknut.

Thank you,

Ah-ha! That's the one, beyond doubt. Streuth, I thought I'd searched WammiWorld's website hollow way back at the start of this thread.

So now we know. Guess you'd better buy up WammiWorld's stock of "these rare specimens" as spares while you can. How much did you say you paid for the guitar?

Then I guess at least you are not going to be posting one of those "did I get a good deal?" type threads, eh? I think that one's been answered...

LOL do you know how many posts like that I came across. dozens and dozens! I've been waiting to get one of these. For every 20 mexican stratos you find on ebay chances are you'll find a MIJ. I kind of took my chances, cause the seller didn't answer all my question before the auction was over! lucky me I guess!

OH...! Just found this thread. From last year, but the most recent post was five days ago. D'UH!

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... sc&start=0

Prophetaxxi, you will find the answers to all your tremolo questions, and a whole lot more about your guitar, including the name of the model, on that thread. Well worth a look, if you want to know more about your guitar.

This Forum has been running long enough already that the answers to ALL questions are to be found right here, if we only choose to look...

Over and out.
