So I am just curious to what do you all think of theses pickup on the 60th anniversary Strat, At some point Fender will most likely sell them without the guitar. Anyone out there have a real 54 to compare that would be most interesting

The 54s are much more snappy/punchy, louder, and cleaner than the Fat 50s. I like both, but they are different.

Thanks for the rundown I like the punchy, louder detail I may consider them, probability would need another Strat as going back a forth with pick ups in the same guitar might get old after a while. The Price tag on the Anniversary Strat are just a bit much right now with kids in college, So I might start looking for a used what ever strat and get me a set of 54s

There the best pickups I've ever heard or had, very mello and toneful.

They are very nice sounding pups. They just have this pop! Wonderful clean sound on a Bassman.
