I'm not a super trained eye but it looks good. The knobs seem to be quite a bit more aged than the pup covers, a minor detail.

Is it normal to have a year 2000 body and a 2008 neck?

Are both really MiA ?

Thank you.

The neck definitely looks to be made in USA. The body appears to be a Mexican which has been converted from the 6-screw bridge to a 2-screw. The ceramic magnet pups are another clue to the body's Mexican origin.

A partscaster, but still seems like a fine guitar.

No it is not normal and as mentioned that body does not look USA.
Definitely a partscaster not that I have much against that so long as it is sold as such. :D

+1 for Shimmilou ,Pickups are céramic, so a Standart Mex, the neck is US but the body is Mex. The neck plate is no good.
The wiring is a real désatre, not CTS pots

The pick ups and the six screw holes for the old style trem are a dead give away, partscaster.

Sorry friend.

I call the body a MIM, based on the three round holes on the lower horn side - and someone has modded the tremolo, refinished the body etc.
Just an opinion, though.

If you don't get the answers you want on the forums, you just have to track it via the seller, or stand down and accept what you got.

BTW: Those cracks in pic11; trem post and from trem hole on - are they in the finish only?
BTW2: Nice color combination, maple to (Sea Foam?) green to pearloid.

Thank you for the help, the seller is a little dumb, dunno nothing about nothing, he sold me it like an american standard... Thats why I'm so pissed, but the guitar plays and sounds amazing, that's why I need to know where this body came from, at least he is a truly fender right? I was looking for the 2000/2001 catalog to see which green guitars are sold in that period but found nothing, any one have it?

The crack is superficial, it was made when the "super genius" other guy changed the tremolo, as far as I can see...

I really need the 2000/2001 catalog, that will save my life...

IMHO, the catalog won't be much help - like others above, I believe that's a Partscaster, and didn't leave the factory as it is now.
My guess, again, is that both the neck and body are legit Fender, the neck a US and the body a MIM.
Contacting consumerrelations@fender.com with the serial number may give some info.

But at this point you should consider if you will ever (even if the seller agrees to a price cut) be totally satisfied with the guitar. If not, is it possible to cancel the deal? If not, maybe cut your losses and resell the guitar as it is, a Partscaster.
It's just not worth it, if you feel dissatisfied every time you pick it up to play, ya know...

But (continuously IMHO  ), that's a nice guitar - if the sound and playability are OK, and you didn't go waaaay over the top on price, why not give it a chance?

My toughs are: He got a 2000 strato, then the neck had some problem and he bought a new neck, in my country is realy hard to buy parts, thats why I thin the 2000 catalog will help, I could see witch surf green guitars were sold and figure where the body came from...

I'll give the guitar a chance, since I can't give it back, the sound is amazing anyway, the body is pretty solid and resonates wonderfully, sometimes I get some reverberation from the spring on the tremolo, the playing unplugged...
