Anyone out there know for sure if the switch tip on the 54 AV 60th Strat is different than the typical Strat switch tip? I purchased one about 3 weeks ago and the switch tip was missing. The salesperson at the store where I purchased it took a tip off of another guitar. I emailed Fender customer relations about it to ask if there was a difference. Now I know the control knobs and pickup covers are different on this guitar but not sure on the tip. The person at Fender replied quickly by email and sent me out the "correct tip" and I got it a few days later, no charge. That was great service! But, the tip that Fender sent me looks identical to the one the salesperson pulled off a different Strat the day I bought it. The guitar he took it off was a John Mayer sig Strat I believe. They didn't have another 54 to compare it to. Doesn't look like Fender sells it on their online store and I cant tell from looking at pics online of others if it is indeed different. Just looking if there are others out there that own this guitar or know for sure if the switch tip is supposed to be polystyrene and a little different shape than the run of the mill Strat switch tip. I know its not a big deal, but it was an expensive, limited edition guitar, and I just wanna make sure I got the correct one. Thanks.

The limited edition 60th anniv 54 has the "football" switch tip, which has a different shape than the later ones.

This is what your 54' switch tip should look like.
