The pickups are DiMarzio Collections as suggested by the DMC initials. Collection is the name DiMarzio uses for their DCS-1 Classical Vintage single coils specially made for the current crop of MIJ guitars.

@chromeface: I don't think you are correct. Pics of DiMarzio Collection pickups I have seen have the logo on the covers. Aldo, pics I have seen show ceramic or bar magnets when viewing the pickups form beneath. Lastly, these pickups do not appear original to the guitar...

Look out! pickups with rods are ceramic, not alnico.
The ceramic pick ups can be found on some Squier Stratocaster and Standart Mex, as well as most low end guitar.
This MIJ've never had fitted in my opinion!

Judging the DMC initials the pickups are DiMarzio Collections.

Yes, from my memory of Fender Japan's nomenclature I'm sure that is correct.

And I've a feeling it probably explains the fabric covered hookup wire too. Also, Fender Japan use CTS pots and US five-way switches on several of their models, and I think that's the same capacitor as on my 2010 CIJ ST-57.

Of course, it's impossible to say for certain from photos. But I think adding all of that together there is every likelihood this is a stock CIJ guitar, exactly as it came from the factory.

And a very nice guitar at that. Congrats! :)

Cheers - C

PS: I have no idea what the 10 in the pickup cavity means.

Haha, don't worry isdi, it has happened to me. :D

You don't want to hear me use Francais, except as a comedy routine.

Most of the ceramic pickups I've seen come from the Far East. Fender Japan had access to some US parts for certain models.

There are many who know the MIJ story better than me on this forum.

Hi all! Best guess about the number 10 in the neck pickup route is as an indicator for the grade of the body. Anyone else? I've looked the guitar over pretty well and it appears to be a 2-piece body for sure... I can't make out any of the text in the neck pocket either...
