I am an experienced guitar player. I've been playing for about 5 years and I am also in a band. Ive always learned through tabs and i never really learned sheet music. As ive grown in my abilities i have realized that i want to learn to read sheet music. I am looking for a website where I can get a detailed instruction and lots of exercises. I just started to try to learn from this book i have, but it only has a couple exercises per string and the thing is once i play an exercise once i remember it and forget to look at the sheet music and then i end up dozing off and playing black magic woman or sweet child o mine  . This is why I am looking for a site with lots of exercises that keep me playing and help me get better at reading sheet music. Please let me know of any Sites that could provide me with a good instruction

Why not just enroll in a music theory class at your local community college? For the most part sheet music for guitar has been displaced by tabs so I'm not sure you're going to get much mileage out of your investment for guitar. But a good understanding of music theory (which would include sight reading of sheet music) would have an invaluable array of benefits for understanding keys (circle of fifths, etc.), dynamics, tempo, and time signatures. Seems like that would be a better investment of your time.

That cracked me up!!

ANYWAY!!! I had the same problem,, then I started to play piano.. you almost HAVE to be a decent reader.. So that helped... (I know, not the answer you were looking for)

I would do that but... I'm fifteen and i cant drive yet lol. And i know that tabs are fine, but if i want to pursue some kind of music career, reading music will be a great help. Im just looking for some website to get me started off so that i learn all of the notes and how to read them fast so that i begin to look up and learn some great songs through sheet music

Well then, probably your best bet would be to look for online piano lessons or something of that nature so that you can apply what you learn more easily. Sheet music is laid out sequentially just like a keyboard so it's easier to understand the connection between the note and what you're playing. Like most people that sight read I developed that skill through piano lessons when I was around 6 or 7. Alternatively you can sign up for any of the music classes at your school whether instrument or voice and you'll get exposure to traditional sheet music.
