After 12 years of looking for this guitar, I found it, and it arrived today! I now own a strat from the year I was born! 1975 Sunburst, Maple Fretboard - white P/G and accessories - Completely original and VERY clean - Original hardshell case! Awesome!!

Good Choice! Here's mine:

LOL!! Looks like there is no need to post a pic, that is my identical guitar!!lol - looks just like it!

Nah, ill put some pics on - I got to spend some time with this guitar over the weeknd and I love the feel of the neck - However, when I plugged this thing in, it didnt sound so hot, it was very loud, thin, and HUMMED like crazy - In order to keep everything original, I found an old pickguard, volume and tone pots, new set of custom shop Texas Special's and a 5-way - im gonna drop all this new stuff right in there and keep the old stuff all put together and put it in a safe - I plan on playing the crap out of this guitar, so I want it to sound good!

Any thoughts on what I am about to do? Is this ia bad idea?

Also, hope all the Daddy's out there had a great Fathers Day!

Lots of people put more modern electronics in their vintage guitars. Just like you they put the original equipment away so they can return it to it's original state if they ever want to sell it. It's no biggie, go ahead and have fun.
