well after 12 years of searching, I finally got the strat I have always wanted!

Many of you read my story of buying a strat for my baby boy so that he would have one from the year he was born! Well, Daddy had to treat himself this year, so Happy Fathers Day to me!!

After 12 years of looking for this guitar, I found it, and it arrived today! I now own a strat from the year I was born!

1975 Sunburst, Maple Fretboard - white P/G and accessories - Completely original and VERY clean - Original hardshell case! Awesome!!

Ill post pictures as soon as I figure out how to post pictures on here![/img]

Same here. I can't afford a 1960 strat, unless I win the lottery or something. It would be cool though.

Blues bondsman, I'm with you, I'd need a '66 for me and I'm sure they're pretty expensive. However, my son was born in 1996, maybe I could get him one from that year. It's probably a little less expensive. All kidding aside, that's really an awesome idea asg, and Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!

Congrats! Can't wait to see pics.

Man, I'd love to have a Strat from the year I was born - a 1979 - I actually saw one on ebay in a Maui Blue finish. Really pretty guitar!

Happy Father's Day (a bit late) to all the Dads out there!
