Did you have to change the intonation when using the .010 to .046’s?

I really forget if I had to re-set the intonation, it's been years. Do it anyway. It's good practice.

It's easy to do with a good tuner and screwdriver, Set fretted 12th to the Open note.

In the end it's all about your fingers and ears.

Setting intonation is a funny thing, if you press hard on the 12th fret while you set the intonation, the start note will be sharp, conversely, if you use a soft pressure you might be correcting a flatter note than you would play. :?

Just get it close and see how it plays for you. This concern over intonation will pass soon enough.

What you should be worrying about is having the right Amps, Pedals, Cables, Microphone, etc.

I went GC and had .010 to .046 put on and had the strat setup. I like the 01 to 046 much better. I like the resistance when bending the strings. The 009 were to easy to bend. I think playing med gauge acoustic strings has caused it. thanks for the input from everybody.
