Hi, I have a line on one of these for sale locally, but after about 20 mins of searching the web with little result I came here to the experts! :D

So what I know is that is was released at the NAMM show and was presumably a limited model with some modern appointments.

My Main questions are:

What is it worth? (retail and perhaps street)

How limited is limited (ie how long was this model offered)

And anything else you happen to know on this relatively in the shadow model.

I've posted a link to show an example of one exactly like it :

Thanks

That's a lovely looking guitar!
Normally a reliced finish turns me off, but this example has been done with taste and restraint, and actually looks like proper wear and tear.
The one thing that screams out at me though is the string retainer - I prefer the look of the round retainer, but it's historically inaccurate - didn't Fender change to butterfly retainers in '56?

FWIW the current string retainers work best IMO 8)

Found this about Buddy Holly's last Strat ....

I believe so. I've never seen an original Strat from '57 or later that had a round string tree. Exceptions may exist of course but I don't think any have surfaced as of yet.

That' an uncharacteristic error by the CS if true. Anyway it's a nice looking replica.

It's possible that the original client or vendor ordered it that way.

It's a nice looking guitar nonetheless.

Yep nice.
The one you have pictured has Abby Handwound pickups as well, if the one you get has then it is a bonus! :D
