Wanted to share about the Blacktop HSH Strat...
These are sweet, Just picked one up in Titanium Silver :)

Aside from a stunning body finish this guitar is right up there w/ the American Standards and Specials in regards to workmanship and aesthetic appeal.

Outstanding build quality, great pups, exceptional sparkle silver poly coat on the body and the urethane neck finish is just even and smooth. Sounds incredible and plays like a dream.
Did a complete setup once it arrived... got it to where I like the action etc... This thing's amazing. Already played two gigs this weekend with it... I love this guitar :) Holds it's own alongside my '62 RI without the 60 cycle hum (except for position 3 which is the tele pup in the middle... which is a smokin' single coil in it's own right). The buckers are ballsy and punchy... very LP-ish of the vintage flavor type of tone.

If you've been thinking about a getting a "Hot Rodded", "Tricked Out" type of strat, you may want to consider one of these. They're just as good as the American Standards and specials at half the price... only thing that could use an upgrade is the bridge... swap out the saddles for better ones... but even at that... the saddles that come stock aren't bad.

They're pretty sweet, huh?
Definitely not "your father's stratocaster"
Nothing distinctly "strat"-sounding about 'em, but the variety of sounds out of those pickups...
...it's like having a strat, a tele, SG and LP in one.

I love the livin' daylights out of mine.
Plays like a strat (my preference), but sounds like nothing else.

I really like that silver of yours, but, well... I have a thing for black strats.
Glad you're likin' it.
Right there with ya.

I also play a Blacktop Stratocaster, not the HSH one but still pretty much the same guitar. And i completely agree with you. Those things are amazing. Mexico really competes with America in my opinion, and for half the price.

My two Mexican's, haven't managed to find the right American for me yet. Image

Nice pair of Stratocasters conork. And yes, the quality of the higher end Mexi's is def giving the American mades a good run for the money.
The more I play this Blacktop Strat... the more I love it.... and with Strats I'm more on the "Cork Sniffer" side. Never would I have gone w/ a Mexi over a USA... but this guitar IMO is an exception. The quality far exceeds the price point.

Here's a couple of pics. The finish is AAA+ and looks good in normal light and stage light... an eye catcher for sure
