While I'm not concerned with fretboard radius, I am considering the neck profile sizes. I'm thinking about one of the following Stratocasters for my next acquistion...

Fender Classic Series 50's Strat
Fender Classic Series 60's Strat
Buddy Guy Strat (MIM)
Jimmy Vaughan Strat (MIM)
Kenny Wayne Shepard Strat (MIM)
Robert Cray Strat (MIM)

Bascially, I want the largest, thickest neck Fender makes... What do you all suggest?

The kenny Wayne has a thick C the others are soft V's except the classic 60's

The Classic Series '70s Strat has a pretty thick u-shaped neck. And the American Vintage '56 Stratocaster has a Thick Soft "V"....very chunky, but expensive.

Does a Fender American Deluxe V neck "feel" thicker than a regular American Deluxe neck???

Well IMHO the modern V neck does not feel that much chunkier than the modern C.
I did try the Vintage 60th Anni recently which is a 54 profile and to me that did feel quite chunky compared to the 10/56 and the mid 60s C
Did you try the classic player 60s since I have not...
As always it would pay to try 'em before youse buy 'em :D

The Classic Player 60s Strat has the thickest neck of any production Strat I have owned and it has a 12 inch fretboard radius for easy bending. It's only topped in chunkiness by the 10 56 Boat neck on my '56 Custom Shop NOS.

The CP 60s is making a comeback this year. I hadn't seen a new one in the wild for a long time until a Sonic Blue and a sparkly Vegas Gold Special Run showed up last month. They're also still priced the same as they were when I bought mine in 2006 so it's an even better deal now.

Yes. However, if you can find a dealer who has all three, audition a maple AmDlx V neck, an AmVintage'56 which has the big 10/56 neck, and the 60th Anniv '54 [not the Commemorative]. One of those three should suit you. Review the specs on all three guitars because they differ in electronics, neck radius, and fretwire. Keep us posted.

Doc

The 59 u and the SRV ones are one of the bigger, thinker ones.

Well there you go .... three respected but differring views.
All the more reason for you to try them
I swear this years american vintage 54 60th neck feels chunkier than the 10/56 on my 56 custom shop but that could be just me!
I had the modern v but found it uncomfortable after moderate periods of playing. :D

Precisely. Hand anatomy and functionality is the dog in this hunt. Example: When you have a chance , call up some video and watch Clapton's left hand very closely. Note the length of the second finger on that hand. See how he often uses it to fret note that others would use their third finger for. Another example is Chuck Berry...the man's hands are monstrous. I have a AmDlx V-neck, a '54 60th, a Gilmour, and two Claptons. All different profiles. My neck preference is the neck on the Clapton Strat. Different strokes bro, different strokes.

If you want a big neck try a early pre-2001 Jeff Beck Strat with the lace sensor pickups. Fattest neck I have seen on a Fender. Sometimes called the bass ball bat neck...

Try getting hold of an AVRI '62 Hot Rod, they have one of the largest/beefiest neck proportions of any recent production Strat, VERY nice chunky necks.
