I've been looking on Craigslist at used Strats. I stumbled across the one in the link below, and I was wondering if it was real. I just don't know enough about Strats to tell. If it is legit, is that a good price?

I realize somebody reading this forum may buy this before me, but if that's the case then so be it. It's worth it to me to learn more so I can search in the future.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Looks authentic to me. Considering you'd be getting the pedal and amp along with the strat, I'd say it's a decent deal.

This appears to be a 1997 Amderican Std Stratocaster.

Authentic to me. To be certain, have the owner remove the pickguard to expose the pickup cavety. It sould be a big rectangle (known as the "swimming pool," many Strat players call it). Also, if I'm not mistaken, the pole pieces on the pickups should all be the same hights.

The price is about right too.

Agree with the others......a nice set, reasonably priced.

Go for it.

Hmmmm ... maybe I should act fast and make a short trip up to Arvada ...

(j/k - but I think that is a good deal)
