http://www.fender.com/store/vintage-kno ... age-white/

Anyone ever try these out? Wonder if they would look good on a mint guard. Looking to make some changes to my MIJ '62 sunburst, but having a hard time finding suitable colors on covers and knobs.

Thanks.

How many more years will it take for FMIC to realize that the lettering and numerals of those "pure vintage" re-issue knobs are the wrong damn color as this photo of an original and unmolested Stratocaster from 1961 clearly depicts......?

I have 1999 American Deluxe Stratocaster that came with age white parts . After few years , those white age parts come "new" parts . They are now like new white after just few years

Maybe bath in a cup of tea

I've onticed that all of my '70s era Strats have pickup covers and knobs that have become "pail-er." The best way to describe this difference is -

Imagine new plasctic parts have the color of whole milk. These parts have the color of 1% or fat free milk. Also the numbers and letters are almost gone or have turned green.

The numerals and lettering didn't "turn green". They are green. They were made that way.

The numeral and letters on my Clapton Strat used to be gold, and they too, are now green. Did Fender change over to gold at some point?

They used green up until the mid/late '70s as far as I can tell.

I would love to see a color photo of an early Strat close up.

Do you think they do that so people dont try to pass them off as original?

I have no clue as to FMIC's motivation.

But it's easily correctable as with this 50's Classic Series Strat I recently hot-rodded......

It only takes about an hour and costs virtually nothing.
