I setup my buddies Strat while he was on vacation (wow, was it out of whack) and one of the saddle adjustment screw heads was 1/2 stripped, and I did it in the rest of the way adjusting the intonation.

It's a Philips head, 1-1/2" long. It's close to a #4-40, but the thread is much finer .. my guess was a 4-48 or an M2.

Anyone know the specs and/or a source for just the screw?

It's the locking type Rose bridge. Chrome Fine-tuners on the back, locking allen screws in front of each individual saddle. I've uploaded a pic of the bridge to my Google Drive

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzbauFiWLcPaQkZBQ2NEX3k0d0k/edit?usp=sharing

If Fender doesn't sell the screw, if I knew the specs, I'm sure I could find one.

I appreciate the help! - Angelo

It's not a Floyd Rose; that a Fender System 1 trem.

There are a couple of sources for parts for these - wammiworld.com and I think the guy who runs Stratconnection.com has parts as well (http://www.stratconnection.com/tremolos ... ridges.htm).

Thanks .. I'll look them up and thanks for the clarification on the model of the trem.

Any clue what the specs for the screw thread are?

Angelo

If no one can confirm take one to a home depot, lowes, Ace hardware etc and they can get the specs for you or you can try different nuts (they will be labeled with the thread specs on the bins) to see what size threads it properly.

I already checked 3 hdwr stores. Like I said it's not 4-40 or M3 and hdwr stores don't carry 4-48 or M2. I know can get it online if I can find the thread specs.

No idea of the thread size, but are these the ones you're looking for:
Screw set 120$ @ Stratconnection

Says they may have single ones, too.
BTW, the web design on those pages is absolutely horrible.

Yea .. $120 for 6 screws is a bit insane.

I found a fastener co in an industrial park not too far away. Will run by there during lunch and report back my findings.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions!

Ah yes a machine shop or fastener company would make sense to figure it out. I am surprised that a place like Ace Hardware would not have it though....granted the one near me is not like a chain but more like a mom/pop and they have literally everything I ever needed as far as oddball threads etc.

Well .. I finally gave in and bought the set from wammiworld ..

http://www.wammiworld.com/pS006.php

I gave it the old college try, but 3-56 is rare enough, but then to find it in 1-1/2" length .. I was coming with few options and the few were about $3+ per screw

Anyway .. hopefully this 'adventure' will help someone else out in the future. Don't try to find it .. just by the set for $19 from wammi ..

Hey, nineteen bucks is a helluva lot more reasonable than $120! You should count your blessings.
