Photobucket is an image hosting website: http://www.photobucket.com

To upload a photo with Photobucket you must create a free account within the site; once you've uploaded your photos click on the IMG code containing the media and paste it.

Try this:

The Picture Posting thing:

Join a (free) service like Photobucket. Upload your pictures there. Then using their "Direct" link, copy the url for the picture.

In your Forum Reply, paste the url inside the brackets created when you click the "Img" button on the header.

Done, just check your work using the "Preview" button at the bottom, so you can check to see if you like it before you post. :D

"Direct" doesn't work.

Photobucket has 4 options for sharing photos: Direct, IMG, HTML and Email & IM.

Of these options choose IMG. The IMG code will be copied directly into the clipboard.

Just click on the text and paste it, there's no need to use the IMG tags from the dashboard.

I don't want to start a flame here, just keep the mature discussion flowing.

Following are the two methods suggested for posting from Photobucket.

The first Pic using the "Direct" link and pasted between the "Img" symbols. I'm used to using this one.

The second Pic using the "IMG" link and pasting right in the copy.

Both work equally well and using "IMG" does save a step.

If you know how to copy a link and paste it in the appropriate place you shouldn't have a problem. If you don't understand that, say so and I'll explain. :D

Yes! This is what I'm doing wrong. I'm using the direct link.

For me Direct is the one that works.

Yo Jeff: With the limited number of posts you show in your history, I don't know to what extent you have followed the many discussions Clapton owners and followers such as myself, Paris, Lefty, and Chromeface, among others, with respect to this guitar. I've owned three, presently two...an '89 Pewter and an '87 pre-production model with the mode switch, a 21 fret neck with a slightly rounder neck profile. They all had Lace Sensor pickups which I, and many others prefer over the Vintage Noiseless. I own three other Strats, very different from each other, but I find that the Claptons are my go to guitars with respect to my preference for playability. It's very flexible instrument, with a host of voices, and you simply have to experiment with what you can get out of it.
