She's a beauteous! Played around a little bit and I was very impressed! Smaller frets didn't seem to bother me. I was kinda worried about that. I think I'll know for sure after I put more time in maybe after the weekend.Soft V was very noticeable though I can't say more yet my hand is pretty sore after about an hour. Neck does feel good though! It'll take some getting used to. Pickups sound good(vintage noiseless).finish is beautiful! Color is great Olympic White! hardware is super nice! Anybody else here have one? Anybody try one?

The Clapton is pretty well known in these parts. Take your time getting used to the controls. They're quite different than the normal Strat tone knobs. I suggest keeping the center knob at 5 and the bottom knob at 1, and use that as your default settings. Then play a little with each from there. But the basic sound of the guitar would be at the default setting.

+1

The second tone knob controls the overall amount of gain required for distortion and overdrive.

By cranking the MDX pot full throttle you'll get some beautiful thick humbucker timbres.

Due to the active circuitry the volume is noticeably louder.

That's his tag-line.
Or his signature line.
Whichever you want to call it.
It is part of his profile.
It appears on every post he makes.
It is not part of this discussion.

See the pic below my post here?
The one of the Strat and Tele leaning against an old amp?
That is MY tag-line.
It appears on every post I make.
It is not a part of this discussion.
It's just part of my profile.

Congrats on the new guitar.

I too, am a proud owner of a 2001 Candy Green EC Strat (just before the pickup change over) and I love it. Mine has the TBX tone pot, which I keep at "5" for the most part. The mid-range boost I change depending on the song. Though it is not a volume boost per say, the added mid-range tones give you a lot of added beef in the volume and instant overdrive on demand.

I'll post some pictures later.

Great! Thanks. I`d like like to know plenty.First off and most important; Does yours have the smaller vintage frets? w/soft V. Was it a big deal to adjust to it?I assume by pickup change your speaking of Lace sensor to vintage noiseless. I have three strats now. The first is 90 strat plus w/lace sensors. Still love it. Second is a 98 AM strat. I put Lace sensor Hot Gold`s in that one. Like them too.Sorry for too much too fast. You`re the first person i`ve talked to with the EC strat. How would you rate it for tone?
