Hi everyone, and thanks in advance for your help. Can anyone tell me if tube or solid state amps are inherently less noisy (picking up hum , "wind-like" sounds coming from the amp, etc.). I recently bought a Fender champion 40, and found it much less noisy than my Peavey Classic 30.
