I just got the next component of a partscaster project. A maple neck from Warmouth.
Specs: Birdseye Maple, Satin Finish, Compound Radius Fretboard, Stainless Steel 6105 frets, Round 59 profile, Earvana Compensated Nut.

It looks and feels nice. The body will take about another month.

I quite enjoy window shopping on the Warmoth website. I spend ages choosing body options and neck variations but I can't being myself to lay out the cash on a Warmoth partscaster. If I get a custom guitar built then it'll be from my local luthier, his stuff is first class.

That's a nice looking guitar Frank. I've had two guitars made by Carvin with all my favorite options. The Warmouth project is my attempt to build MY perfect strat.
I was a little worried about the neck carve, but right now it feels just right. A little beefier than my Am Dlx, but not not too big.
I also got the tuners and string tree. I'm anxious to put it together. I wish Warmouth would give an update on possible ship date but they don't. I checked on the neck one morning and it showed the status as "in progress". Later that day I got an email that it shipped.

Good luck with the build.....that neck looks nice.

I did a Warmoth partscaster build myself. Got all the parts and did all the finish work, electric, etc. It is and outstanding strat type guitar. That's not a pat on my back but a testament to quality of their parts.

Get a tech to do the final set up and you should be golden.

Love mine. I wanted a fixed bridge strat and just went and made one. Love the dominger pickups in this thing. I had a fender MIM neck on this thing and it wasn't quite right. Swapped it out for the warmoth neck and it just sings. (Oddly the fender neck is great on a HH parts caster I made from a squier affinity body.)

The Warmouth body that I have coming is also string through fixed bridge. I went with Daphne Blue. I'm basically recreating my Clapton to my specs.

Beautiful neck Drew365. It will look great with a Daphne Blue hardtail body.

Nice to see some builds going on. Haven't added anything to the Build Thread in a while. http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=93631

Well, when the body comes, I'll post a Warmouth Put It Together thread.
