I'm not sure what to make of this. All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Custom Loaded Stratocaster

"Neck and Body are from two different guitars"

... neither of which has ever seen the inside of a Fender factory

I'm not sure I agree with the idea to run away from this. The seller makes it clear that this is not a real Fender guitar. That doesn't mean that it's a bad guitar.

That's one-one-one, the last three digits of the phone number.

But yes, fake!

How? All it says is that the neck and body come from two different guitars. The only clear thing is that someone faked the CS decal and the Fender decal.

Yes, the neck is not a Fender one, and yep, not a true custom shop sticker, but the Fender logo looks real enough, although it does not belong to that neck. I have a couple of these Fender Logos (for restoration), but I wouldn't waste one on that neck.

The body could most certainly be from a Fender Stratocaster though. Some of you sure appear to be really jaded, I am with Paris on this one, could be a fine playing guitar, and not all folks that buy or sell on craigs list are out to rob, rape, and pillage!

He didn't say the two guitar from which the neck and body came from were fender. And he's only asking 450 for the guitar. I would want to play it first but it might not be bad. He also didn't say to come alone. It don't look like a bad guitar.

I would need lots more pics of what is going on in the neck socket and body routes. The neck however is confirmed NOT a Fender.

If the guy is trying to be fraudulent, he would have tried to sell the guitar for much more. It's like those people who ask, "Is this Squire ligit?" Really? Who is going to fake a Squire?

I suspect that the seller just liked having the Fender CS logo on the guitar. The only person he/she is trying to fool is his/herself.

Not so long ago there was a topic on the forum, where an acoustic "Fender" guitar priced ~125$ turned out to be fake - and the guitar itself didn' look bad at all.
I was both surprised and shocked to realize that in some parts of the world a mere couple of dollars more is enough - sad but true.
(Obviously, this ^ above has nothing to do with the guitar in this topic. IMHO, a genuine MIM, maybe with mods, would be a better choice for 450$...)

my 2 cents, but the entire thing is fishy and misleading...

Calling it a "Strat" where really it's a "parts-o-caster"
