None. Both guitars use the same pickup set. However, the 70's Classic Series Strat pickups are different.

Thank you Arjay, you confirm my impressions after tests but not the 70s (not available). :(
I like the 60s, the handle suits me well but the pickups lack personality!
A New American Standart suit me better.
After testing the american vintage 59 ... it is another world.
What a wonderful and successful guitar!
I test Stratocaster visiting stores (sales force) and this is happiness!

Install a set of Fat '50s pickups in a 60's Classic Series Strat and I don't think you'll ever want for another guitar.

You joined my reasoning, a good 60 s second hand for € 400 (sometimes less), block vibrato Calaham €80, pickups Fat50 for €170, good key Kluson Deluxe for €50 and here is my ideal personal Strat for €699.

The Classic Player 60s and its 69 pickups is to €800 in France.

The difference between a CP Strat and my project is small, but I like the 'authentic' side of the Classic Series and the tremolo 6 screws etc....

The MiM is sometimes variable production, find the good 60s second-hand is my priority, but it is playable!

Rest to make this Strat! (my dream!).

Thanks Arjay, Lightnin MN for its support on another post and other members.

You are the wisdom and understand the needs and means of each on this forum and well represent the spirit of Fender!

Take care of yourself.

Best of luck and let us all know how it goes.
