Richard Petty drove a Buick to victory at the Daytona 500 in 1981.

It just amazes me when they are making biopics about guitar players and they STILL make the same guitar why the heck can't they get it right. That is not a minor detail to true fans....granted to the average Joe they would probably not notice. It would be like doing a biopic on Mario Andretti and using the wrong race cars or having Richard Petty racing with a Buick.

Exactly!

No way. I always thought he was a Mopar man. Oh well learn something new every day. I guess change the "Buick" to "Nissan" and it makes my point better

I haven't yet seen one in this country but I'm betting there are a few around.

But that's a race car and not US Spec...The Production Record currently belongs to....the mighty Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 with a time of...7:19.63 at the Nurburgring...and you might actually run across one of these on the street...and it is going to be an ugly loss on your part! And to get this back on topic...It would be kinda like running across Jimi or Eric in a head cutting contest!

It is a production vehicle available to anyone who can afford it. How many "race cars" have subwoofer-equipped stereo systems and leather seating? And Nissan has built several to US specs for export. You won't see one parked next to the Sentra's and the Maxima's at your local dealer though. There's one up in Phoenix. He owns that town.

I think we are going way off topic here. Since when would they allow a Nissan in stock car racing much less NASCAR under any circumstance? Keep the rice off our tracks LOL. Leave that stuff for those who like to slide instead of race.
