Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a '10 Am Dlx HSS w/ blow by switch. That's the switch that sends the signal through the humbucker at full volume.
There are 5 or 6 Am Dlx HSS diagrams in the support section but none of them have the blow by switch.

I'd guess it's just two poles of a DPDT switch like this ...

Thanks Frank. Mine is wired a little different. What I was trying to find out is if the two poles at the top, Rd/Wht to the switch and the Wht to the volume pot, were supposed to be connected. Mine were so close together that the solder joints were touching and I want to know if I should separate them. I'm pretty sure they weren't soldered together. I think the contacts just got pushed into each other.

This might be the Service Diagram for your model: http://support.fender.com/service_diagrams/stratocaster/011-9100A_SISD.pdf

Scroll down to pages 6,7 & 8 for the proper wiring diagrams.

I think what you're looking for is on page 7.

Thanks, that's the one. It's the first time I've seen an accurate service diagram for my guitar. I don't know how you came up with it. I went back into the service diagrams again and still didn't see it, but I saved the file you linked to, so I'm good. Thanks, again.

Well, looking at the Fender diagram, it appears that the two wires I was questioning are indeed supposed to be joined. Mine had a blob of solder between the two posts, but no wire connecting them. I assumed that the two posts had been pushed together by mistake. I slid a flat solder iron between them and smoothed the blob so that they weren't touching. It seems to work fine. Anyone have an opinion on what the diagram means?

Not sure of the question but it looks like the middle pole of the switch either switches to the top or bottom terminals.
In one position the green wire from the pickup switches to the 5way selector.
In the other it switches to the output jack via the wire and back onto the jack terminal bypassing everything.
From the diagram it does not appear as though the bottom two terminals white and red/white should be connected. If they were you may find that with the bypass off the bridge pickup would then be on the wiper of the volume pot at all times.
A tap test on the pu would confirm this.
GilgaFrank's wiring diag is pretty much the same the small wire on the bypass switch could either connect across the top two terminals or diagonally. Either way the green wire gets to the output jack. I think you will see either method depicted in Fendes diagrams.
Just IMHO... :D

I guess my question is, if you look at the two poles where the white and red/white wires are across from each other, what is the mark between them designate? It looks like there is a bridge between them. Mine seemed to be connected with solder.
What started all of this is the white wire from the output jack broke off of the middle post. After repairing that, I noticed the bridge between the two bottom posts. I thought I may have dropped a clump of solder myself, so I separated the two posts. The switch seems to work fine like this, but the diagram has me wondering if maybe they were supposed to be bridged in the first place. Thanks for your help.

I see what you mean about the lines across the switch and it is a little confusing. It's not a wire connection, I would imagine it represents the manufacturing marks on the switch body.

Could be. The working area is so tight that it's hard to focus. I'd have to take the switch out to check, but since it's working, I'm going to leave it be and not ask for more busy work that I don't need. The output wire snapped off with just a light touch. So, leaving sleeping dogs lie may be a good choice here. Thanks

Yep not a wire just part of the switch drawing if you notice the other top terminals have this too.
I understand completely on the confusion. :D
