never remember it being heavy but at 27 nothing seemed heavy :lol:

I had a 25th Anniversary Strat that tipped the scales at over fifteen pounds -- I was just curious if the regular production models from '79 were similarly hefty.

I was 8 yrs old in '79. That photo brings back a lot of memories of the '70s. By the way, do you still have that guitar?

The finish on the vintage Antigua's always used to yellow and green out to the point that they looked like avocado vomit.

I just bought a 2008 custom shop Eric Clapton Strat in Antigua!! It's a great guitar. There were only 100 made so we are in a small club!!
